Offensively, Canyon Hills started slowly with Brian Harwood getting the first hit in the top of the second, but left on base. However, in the top of the 3rd, Brian Campbell hit a 2 out double to right center and scored on a hit by Anthony Seminaris. Up stepped Murillo who lined a double to left center scoring Seminaris to make the score 2-0.

This score remained the same until the top of the 6th when Canyon Hills busted the game wide open by scoring 8 runs. Troy Collins got a key hit in the inning as well as Seminaris and walks to Cullers, Gomez, Campbell, and Chege - all led to Canyon Hills posting a win by the score of 10-0.

On a sad note, the plate umpire, Louie Cardenas, was struck in the head by a pitched ball and was airlifted to the hospital. This volunteer umpire has spent many hours each work umpiring for our kids.  Louie suffered a concussion, but should recover fully. He should be in all our prayers, and we all wish him a speedy and healthy return.
